Two 4-cylinder use twin turbochargers to maintain consistently high power output and minimal turbo lag while pulling away. Fuel economy and emissions for both vehicles are outstanding, with automatic versions recently benefiting from further reductions in CO2. As for manual versions, the E 220 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY clocks up 52.3 mpg and emits just 143 g/km CO2. With its spellbinding looks, the new E-Class Cabriolet promises sublime handling - and it doesn't disappoint. Fitted as standard, Agility Control suspension uses selective damping to continuously adapt shock absorption to suit the road surface. Journeys have never felt smoother. Transmissions for the new E-Class Cabriolet have been engineered to maximise performance, economy and driving pleasure. The E-Class Cabriolet features a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, with a 5-speed automatic system available as an option. For convenience and peace of mind, the manual transmission features Hill Start Assist and Hill Hold function, a driver assistance system that prevents the car rolling backwards when pulling away on an incline.
